Prepaid Water Supply for Agricultural Operations in Nepal
As part of this project, iSAtech control units were installed in a pump house, equipped with iSAtech data loggers as well as Bermad IR900 water meters and valves in nominal sizes DN100 and DN150.
The iSAtech prepaid control units are directly linked to the Bermad water meters: They record water consumption in real time and automatically bill it according to the rates stored on the prepaid cards (RUC). This allows farmers to independently and easily obtain water for their fields - transparently, in a controlled manner, and without administrative effort.
The associated iSAtech Management System enables authorized sellers to top up prepaid cards with credit via point-of-sale terminals. The allocation and management of seller quotas is handled centrally via the sales management system, which ensures seamless control of the entire distribution chain. All consumption data is logged on the data loggers in the pump house and is available for detailed evaluation and billing.
Centralized Control and Analysis with the iSAtech PayU Manager
The iSAtech PayU Manager adds a powerful management layer to the system. It provides the operator with a centralized overview of all consumption volumes, dispensing locations, and transactions, and supports flexible pricing structures. In addition, the PayU Manager enables automated notifications and can be used for predictive maintenance.
For this project, the software interface was localized into Nepali. The terminals are equipped with integrated printers for transaction receipts and operate in both online and offline modes - a critical requirement for reliable use in rural areas with limited network connectivity.
