iSAtech water GmbH
iSAtech Omni Control Node Networked control unit for water delivery
With the Omni Control Node, consumers and water suppliers can set up and manage water kiosks or irrigation systems and regulate water delivery. The device is networked via LTE or LoRaWAN. For example, the iSAtech PayU-Cloud can define the amount of water dispensed per time. Water dispensing can also be started and stopped using a button installed on the Omni Control Node. If the Omni Control Node is also equipped with an NFC module, the user can hold an NFC card with credit or a smartphone with NFC function and the iSAtech PayU-Manager (Android) to the unit and activate water delivery. The amount of water dispensed is offset against the credit on the card and logged wirelessly on the iSAtech PayU-Cloud.

The Omni Control Node control unit is a robust, remote control unit designed for outdoor installation. It can be mounted easily and flexibly for larger installations, e.g., on a wall, housing, or standpipe. The control unit is connected to the valve and meter by cable. For LTE/LoRaWAN radio networking, a screw antenna can be connected directly to the SMA connection, or a more powerful, remote antenna can be used. Power is supplied via a mains adapter, a solar battery, or an internal, rechargeable battery.

The Omni Control Node receives current credit and control information via LoRaWAN or LTE. Alternatively, the device can be operated with an NFC credit card or NFC-enabled smartphone. All consumption and credit data is transmitted wirelessly to the iSAtech PayU-Cloud for analysis.

Measure and control — online and offline

The Omni Control Node records the outputs and can be used as a dynamic controller in various ways. A wide variety of interfaces offer a large selection of possible sensors and actuators.

When used as a prepaid system, the credit can be transferred online or offline via an NFC card to release water.

If the credit is topped up at a retailer (retailer system) or via mobile payment systems, it can be used directly or with an NFC card to dispense water.

Alternatively, the networked Omni Control Node can be controlled directly via the iSAtech PayU-Cloud. Time-limited dispensing, budgeted dispensing, or quantity limits are then configured via the iSAtech PayU-Cloud.
