Complete System iSAtech iSAbox compact Smart Metering, Limiting and Shut-off

The iSAtech iSAbox C combines an iSAtech control unit, a motorized ball valve, and a water meter into a compact prepaid dispensing system. The system can be used as a replacement for or in addition to an existing residential water meter. A credit balance is transferred to the prepaid dispensing system either via radio or NFC card. Water dispensing is enabled, and water can be used without restriction until the credit is exhausted. Once the credit is used up, the water supply can automatically be interrupted or limited. If the iSAtech iSAbox C is connected online (optional), consumption can be monitored online at any time — by the utility and by the consumer. Topping up the credit online is also possible.

The Prepaid Management System PayU-Cloud

The management system is cloud-based and provides full access from anywhere, either via a web browser on a desktop computer or an Android app on a smartphone. Managing, analysing, and topping up the credit balance is straightforward. The system integrates seamlessly into existing online platforms and supports connection to various online payment systems. If the iSAtech iSAbox C is connected online, the consumer can be automatically notified when the credit balance is running low.

How It Works

A water credit is loaded onto the NFC card using the iSAtech PayU-Manager app. At the dispensing unit, the credit is transferred by holding the NFC card against it. Water is released until the credit is exhausted, then the supply is shut off or limiting. A simple NFC-enabled Android smartphone is sufficient to top up the NFC card.

If the dispensing unit is connected online, consumption can be viewed at any time and credit can also be topped up directly online. Budgets can be provided automatically on an annual, monthly, or daily basis. Once the credit is exhausted, the supply can be interrupted immediately or after a warning and exceedance of a credit limit.
