iSAtech Radio Gateway Networking iSAtech Control Units via radio

The iSAtech Radio Gateway can network iSAtech Control Units and LoRaWAN sensors. The gateway transmits the dispensing data and credit information from iSAtech Control Units. It receives the data from LoRaWAN sensors, stores it, and sends it to the iSAtech PayU-Cloud via LTE, WiFi, or Ethernet. This enables online monitoring and billing as well as the transmission of credit balances and control information to all connected iSAtech Control Units. Thanks to the integrated data memory, temporary operation without an internet connection is also possible. In this case, all data is collected and transferred when the connection is re-established — without data loss.

Communication with the iSAtech Control Units occurs via the robust long-range LoRa radio standard at 868 MHz. Optionally, the LoRaWAN protocol can also be used to connect LoRaWAN sensors. This means that any number of iSAtech Control Units can be connected within a radius of several kilometers.

Synchronisation

All data is stored locally to ensure operation, even during communication interruptions. Data is transferred via online synchronization. The synchronization interval can be configured to find the optimum compromise between fast data transfer and cost efficiency.
